Workshops 2010 - Crowborough, East Sussex, United Kingdom The following workshops will require a minimum of 2 individuals pre booked to run and will be conducted by David Penny President of ISA. We can arrange local accommodation to suit every budget. Date Subject 21.02 Preparing trees for Saikei and winter technique 21.03 Preparing trees for Saikei and preparing trees in Saikei for spring growth, feeds 18.04 Soft pruning on conifers, developing Alpine Saikei 16.05 Soft pruning on deciduous trees, Showing, Kusamono (Accent Plantings) creation 20.06 Summer Care, Emergency Care, Bugs and diseases, maintenance pruning 18.07 Styles and Shapes of Saikei, Aesthetics, Conifer Work, developing Lowland Saikei 15.08 Saikei Tradition and general work 19.09 Preparing for Autumn, developing coastal Saikei 17.10 Styling trees and composing Saikei (any style) 21.11 Winter Technique, Protection, composing Saikei (any style) As you will see from the programme above each workshop has a focus however this is not restrictive in any way and participants are encouraged to bring any material along to work on under guidance. The workshops are very informal and we encourage an atmosphere of learning from each other in a positive way. The workshops start at 10.00 and finish at 16.00 with a break for lunch and tea and coffee supplied. The fees this year are £18.00 per workshop plus a one off annual charge of £6.00 for insurance purposes.
